Step 1 — Start a Live Session
Tap Live Location in the Trail Map GPS app to start a tracking session. Your GPS position begins broadcasting instantly. The session runs in the background as you hike, bike, or ski — your phone keeps transmitting as long as the session is active.
Step 2 — Share Your Unique Link
A private link is generated for your session. Share it via WhatsApp, iMessage, email, or any messenger. Whoever receives the link can open it in any web browser — no app installation needed. They'll see your position on a live interactive map, updated every 5 seconds.
Step 3 — They Watch You Live
Your family at home, your hiking partner waiting at the trailhead, or your friend tracking your race — they all see your position moving in real time. Speed, altitude, heading, and a breadcrumb trail of where you've been. When you end the session, the map shows your tracking has ended.
